As Managing Director, Rowen Kelly heads the dynamic Kelly & Sons Real Estate team playing the key role in the market dominance of this major inner city/inner west agency. Rowen's contribution through his active involvement in peak professional bodies has made him a leader in the real estate industry.
Rowen is a Past President and director of the Real Estate Institute of New South Wales.He is currently a director of Realcover Insurance Limited and has served on numerous industry committees. Rowen is a former Director and Vice Chairman of EAC Multilist Limited. He is a past Councillor of the State Chamber of Commerce, past Chairman of the Institute's Auctioneers Chapter and a past Vice Chairman of the Valuer's Chapter. Rowen was a government appointed industry assessor for the Fair Trading Tribunal and is a former member of the statutory authority, Property Services Council.
Rowen joined the family business in late 1966 commencing in the property management department and progressing through all facets of the property business. Rowen is one of Sydney's foremost auctioneers having personally conducted more than 15,000 auction submissions of all types of real estate including residential, industrial, commercial, retail, investment and rural.
Rowen's property market knowledge and valuable industry comment is keenly sought by radio, newspaper and television and has included regular weekly commentary on Radio 2GB.
Rowen has conducted numerous charity auctions around the State including the super events for the Sydney Theatre Company Foundation helping to raise over $1,000,000 in front of audiences of between 1,200-1,500 guests including former Prime Ministers of Australia. Rowen also conducted the Quilt 2000 series of Auctions for the Sydney 2000 Paralympics.
Among the many highlights of Rowen's property career has been the negotiation of the sale of a Sussex Street commercial office building in Sydney's CBD for $32 million in 1989.
Rowen is a Licensed Real Estate Agent, Business Agent, Strata Managing Agent, Accredited Practising Auctioneer, Registered Valuer, Qualified Property Manager and an Accredited Trainer.
Rowen attended Trinity Grammar where he represented in CAS athletics, tennis, swimming and the 1st XV Rugby and now enjoys swimming, tennis, jogging and snow skiing.
